No. Approval certificates apply to selected speaker models that are intended for applications requiring this type of certification. The complete list of products with approval certificates is available in the product catalog.
Yes. Most speakers have appropriate compliance certificates, including EN54-24 certification, confirming their compliance with European standards for PAVA. Detailed certificates for each model are available in the Client Panel.
EASE files, necessary for acoustic simulations, are available for download in the Client Panel.
Speaker housings are made of high-quality materials adapted to their purpose and operating conditions. The material from which the housing is made is specified in the catalog sheet of the given speaker.
The IP protection rating of speakers varies depending on the model and its intended use. We offer speakers with various IP ratings, from IP21C to IP66C, allowing their use in diverse environmental conditions. Speakers, in accordance with EN54-24 standard requirements, are divided by operating environment into type A speakers for indoor use with IP21C and type B speakers for outdoor building applications with IP33C. This IP housing protection rating is verified during laboratory testing by certifying bodies. Nevertheless, the actual IP protection rating of Ambient System speakers is higher than the minimum required by EN54-24. The actual IP protection rating is provided in the catalog sheet in the row below the value required by EN54-24.
Yes. To compare the efficiency and maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of speakers from different manufacturers, parameters measured at a distance of 4 meters should be checked, in accordance with EN54-24. This is crucial for obtaining objective and comparable data. These parameters are measured by testing laboratories in accordance with EN54-24 guidelines.
The ABT-TNL100 speaker surpasses standard tunnel solutions thanks to its unique features: it offers narrow radiation angles, allowing precise sound direction and minimization of emitted sound reflections from tunnel walls and surfaces; it is characterized by very high SPL and high efficiency, guaranteeing the required sound intensity level and excellent message intelligibility even in acoustically challenging tunnel environments.
ABT-BS speakers are active column speakers that are the optimal choice for airports. Thanks to the use of multi-channel amplifiers and DSP processors, it is possible to control and model the emitted sound beam. Speakers with beam steering technology have several significant advantages over traditional public address systems. Beam steering allows precise sound direction to specific locations without the need to physically reposition speakers. Thanks to digital signal processing (DSP), the sound beam can be "tilted" vertically, which is particularly useful in acoustically challenging spaces. By precisely directing sound to listeners, speech intelligibility is significantly improved by reducing unwanted reflections from walls or ceilings. Beam steering speakers can be mounted high or in unusual locations, yet still "direct" sound where it is needed. This facilitates public address system design in buildings where structural intervention is not possible. Thanks to precise sound direction, less energy reaches microphones and reflecting surfaces, reducing the risk of feedback.
